How To Easily Share Files Between a Windows Phone and your Modern Smartphone

Have you ever wondered how to remotely share a file between your WP device and your main smartphone? Like that time you had to copy that looong API key!?!

What do u need?

  • an IOS or Android smartphone
  • a Windows Phone 8/8.1 with unlocked bootloader and Live Store installed (Lumia 1020 in my case)
  • MediaFire

STEP 1 - Download MediaFire

Take your Lumia, open LiveStore and install the MediaFire App. install it on your modern phone too.

STEP 2 - Create an account

Open MediaFire on the Lumia, log into your MediaFire account (if you dont have one, create it). Do the same on your modern phone.

STEP 3 - Voila

Now from there, you can upload any file using your modern phone, and it will show up on the Lumia and vice versa. 
The MediaFire app can directly read .txt files so very useful when copying tokens for apps.

In Settings, you can also set up automatic backup so photos and videos taken with your Lumia will always automatically be uploaded.
